This extremely difficult hiking route takes you to the stunning Ombreta Orientale peak. The trail covers a total distance of 13.267 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1408 meters, so be prepared for a challenging adventure.
You will start your journey at a parking area near Agriturismo Malga Ciapela. As you make your way along the trail, you will pass by various points of interest. Approximately 5.71 kilometers into the hike, you will come across Bivacco Marco Dal Bianco, a shelter where you can take a rest and enjoy the surroundings.
Further along the trail at 1.08 kilometers from the start, there is a water source where you can refill your water bottles. As you continue hiking, you will reach Rifugio Onorio Falier, an alpine hut located 3.09 kilometers from the starting point. This is a great spot to rest and refuel before continuing on your adventure.
One of the highlights of the hike is Pas de Ombreta, a beautiful saddle located 5.53 kilometers from the start. From here, you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding area. Close to the peak, you will find Ombreta di Mezzo, offering stunning views of the landscape.
