This hiking route takes you through the beautiful mountainous area surrounding Lac Riondet. With a total distance of 9.5 kilometers and an elevation gain of 600 meters, this hike is rated as difficult and is expected to take around 3 hours and 42 minutes to complete.

Starting at the Parking fort de Platte, you will make your way towards the Fort de la Platte, a historic fort located just 0.69 kilometers from the start of the trail. As you continue on, you will pass by the Col de Forclaz, a natural saddle located 3.83 kilometers into the hike.

Along the way, you will come across several water features including a water body named Lac Riondet at 4.77 kilometers, and Lac Cornu at the same distance, just off the trail. These serene lakes provide a perfect spot to take a break and enjoy the surroundings.

As you approach the midway point at 3.29 kilometers, you will find a natural water feature closer to the trail. Be sure to bring enough water with you as these points may be the only sources of water along the trail.
