This hiking route to Sparrhorn is an extremely difficult but rewarding 11.967-kilometer out-and-back trail with an elevation gain of 1309 meters. The trail offers breathtaking views and a chance to experience the natural beauty of the area.
Starting at the parking area, hikers will embark on a challenging journey that will lead them through various points of interest. About 2.35 kilometers from the start, you will come across the Steigle, an attraction that is worth a visit. As you continue on, at around 4.69 kilometers, you will find a water source and a restaurant called Hotel Belalp for a quick break.
Along the trail, there are shelters like the Natur- und Wildbeobachtungsposten Holzji, offering a place to rest and enjoy the surroundings. For those who enjoy viewpoints, there are several to admire, including the Aletschbord, Tyndall-Denkmal, and Sparrhorn.
