This extremely difficult 16.045-kilometer circular hiking route will take you to Schwarzberghöhe, offering stunning views and challenging terrain.

Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by Winkelmossalm / Klammweg parking lot at the beginning of the hike. As you continue, you can take a break at Berggasthaus Almstüberl and Alpengasthof Winklmoosalm restaurants, both located about a quarter of the way into the hike. Consider refueling and resting at Winklmoosalm wilderness hut, which is around 0.16 kilometers from the start.

On the way back, you will come across amenities like Hotel Winklmoosalm parking lot and Gästeparkplatz Winkelmoosalm parking lot. Make sure to stay hydrated by stopping at the water source located 0.16 kilometers from the trail start.

Midway through the hike, you will reach Berggasthof und Hotel SonnenAlm where you can take a breather. Further ahead, at 7.71 kilometers from the start, you will reach the peak of Schwarzberghöhe, where you can enjoy panoramic views.

Along the trail, you will also find benches for resting and several information points providing interesting insights into the surroundings.

Due to the length of the hike and the 493 meters of elevation gain, it is important to come prepared with plenty of water, proper hiking gear, and snacks. Make sure to check the weather forecast before heading out and allow for almost 5 hours to complete this challenging trek.
