This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Aperes Schareck in the beautiful area of Nationalpark Hohe Tauern. The trail spans a distance of 12.3 kilometers with a challenging elevation gain of 1334 meters, making it a demanding yet rewarding journey for experienced hikers.

As you start your adventure, you will come across various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find convenient parking facilities for your vehicle. As you progress, a restaurant called Restaurant Talstation will welcome you with refreshments to fuel your hike.

About 1.2 kilometers from the start, you will reach Naßfeldalm, an alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy the mountain views. Further along the trail, you will encounter Valeriehaus, another restaurant for a quick bite.

Continuing onwards, Pottingeralm and Moisesalm, both alpine huts, offer unique opportunities to experience the alpine lifestyle. Schareckalm is nestled midway through the trail, providing a cozy spot to rest and admire the surrounding nature.

As you approach the culmination of your journey, Aperes Schareck stands majestically at a distance of 6.15 kilometers from the start, offering breathtaking views of the natural peak. Along the way, you'll also encounter informative spots like Info Nationalpark Hohe Tauern to learn more about the area.
