This challenging hiking route will take you to the stunning Geißhorn peak in the beautiful mountainous area. The trail is an out-and-back type, covering a total distance of 9.942 kilometers with an elevation gain of 953 meters. It is estimated to take about 4 hours and 41 minutes to complete.

Starting at the Sonnenfluh parking area, you will begin your journey towards the Geißhorn peak. Along the way, you will come across several points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you will find the Koblat Pass, a natural saddle offering breathtaking views. Further along, you will encounter the Zollhütte shelter where you can take a break and enjoy the scenery.

As you continue your ascent, you will pass by historical boundary stones and wayside crosses that add a sense of history to the hike. Information points scattered throughout the trail provide interesting facts about the area and its attractions. Midway through the hike, you will reach the Koblach-Hütte, a perfect spot to rest and refuel before heading towards the Geißhorn peak.
