This challenging hiking route will take you on a 9.46-kilometer circular journey to the Westlicher Ochsenhofer Kopf peak. Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by various points of interest along the way.
At the beginning of the trail, you'll find the Gaststätte Starzelhaus, a restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat before starting your adventure. As you make your way, you'll come across the Übungsgelände der Outward Bound Kurzschule Baad, a climbing area that adds a thrilling element to the hike.
Throughout the hike, you'll encounter several parking areas for your convenience, some of which require a fee. Be sure to check for parking regulations before leaving your vehicle. Additionally, benches and information points are scattered along the trail, offering places to rest and learn more about the area.
Halfway through the hike, you'll reach the Ochsenhofer Scharte saddle, providing a picturesque spot to take in the surrounding scenery. As you continue towards the peak, you'll pass by the Restaurant Kuhstall and Café Baad-Grund, where you can stop for a meal or refreshments.
The trail culminates at the Westlicher Ochsenhofer Kopf peak, rewarding you with stunning views of the landscape below. Be mindful of the elevation gain of 693 meters throughout the hike, as it adds to the difficulty of the trail.
