This extremely difficult hiking route will take you to the stunning Plauener Hütte in the Zillergrund area. The trail spans 12.643 kilometers and has an elevation gain of 913 meters, promising a challenging but rewarding experience for seasoned hikers.

Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by the Sonntaglahnerkopf peak and the Steinbockgehege attraction, where you can observe these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. Along the way, you will encounter several benches such as the Bankl zum Genießen, S'Bankl zur Hohenaualm, Hohenauer Wohlfühlbankl, Begrüßungsbankl der Hohenaualm, and Hohenaublick, perfect for taking a rest and enjoying the scenic views.

Midway through the hike, you will reach the Plauener Hütte, an alpine hut where you can refuel and take in the breathtaking surroundings. There is also the option to stop at the Adlerblick restaurant for a meal before continuing on your journey.

As you make your way back, make sure to visit the Ehrenmal für die gefallenen der Weltkriege, a memorial honoring those who lost their lives in the world wars. Additionally, be sure to check out the Staumauerblick for a panoramic view of the area.
