This hiking route in the scenic area of Riesenechse offers a delightful outdoor experience for nature enthusiasts. The trail is approximately 3.463 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 34 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.

Starting at the parking area near Hotel & Restaurant Weißer Hirsch, hikers will pass by the Unteres Schloss (Lower Castle) at the beginning of the trail. As you continue along the path, you'll encounter various points of interest such as the Ameisenwand (Ant Wall), Brandpyramide (Brand Pyramid), Großer Halben (Big Halben), and Kleiner Halben (Small Halben).

Along the route, you'll also come across benches for resting, viewpoints like Ritterfelsen, and natural attractions like the Gautschgrotte (Gautsch Cave). Be sure to check out the informative signs at Tourist-Information und Traditionsstätte Hohnstein and take in the beautiful surroundings.

As you reach the midpoint, you'll find the Burg Hohnstein (Hohnstein Castle), a historic site worth exploring. Take a moment to appreciate the stunning views from the castle grounds before continuing your hike.
