This hiking route will take you through the beautiful area near Cuyalaret. The trail is 6.614 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 469 meters, making it a moderate difficulty hike. It is an out-and-back route, so you will retrace your steps on the way back.
As you start your hike, you will come across several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find a parking area. Further on, you will pass by the Venta Sancho, which is not directly on the trail but is nearby. A short distance from the trail, you will also find the Maison du Parc National des Pyrénées, where you can learn more about the local area.
As you continue your hike, you will reach the Col du Pourtalet, a saddle that offers stunning views of the surroundings. You will also come across the Stèle frontière, a memorial with limited wheelchair access, and the boundary stone "310". Midway through the trail, you will find the peak of Cuyalaret, which is 3.31 kilometers from the start.
Towards the end of the trail, you will find the peak of Gralleras, which is 2.2 kilometers from the start but is not directly on the trail. Finally, as you make your way back, you can stop at the restaurant Le Sorbier for a meal before heading home.
