This hiking route will take you through the stunning area surrounding Foel Fras. With a total distance of 11.187 kilometers and an elevation gain of 554 meters, this difficult hike is estimated to take around 3 hours and 58 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will come across the parking area conveniently located at the trailhead. From there, you will begin your ascent, passing by the archaeological site of Cairn at 0.43 kilometers from the start. Continuing on, you will reach Drosgl at 1.92 kilometers, offering breathtaking views along the way.
Midway through the hike, you will encounter Y Drum at 3.59 kilometers, another peak to admire during your trek. Make sure to take in the beauty of the surroundings as you continue towards Carnedd Y Ddelw, located 2.66 kilometers from the start but slightly off the main trail.
As you push forward, Foel Fras awaits you at 5.59 kilometers, marking a significant point in your journey with its impressive peak. Be sure to also spot the shelter at 5.45 kilometers, offering a rest stop for weary hikers.
Towards the end of your hike, you will pass by the peak of Foel Fras once again before making your way back to the starting point.
