This extremely difficult hiking route takes you to the Ibones de Bachimala area, where you will be treated to stunning natural beauty and challenging terrain. With a total distance of 15.773 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1850 meters, this hike is not for the faint of heart.
Along the trail, you will encounter several points of interest. At the beginning of the hike, you will come across the Cabane de La Pez, a shelter located 2.27 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to take a break and enjoy the surroundings. As you continue on, approximately 1.99 kilometers into the hike, you will find the Cabane Jean-Forgues, another shelter for hikers to rest and refuel.
Midway through the hike, you will reach the Port de la Pez, a saddle located 5.81 kilometers from the start. This is a picturesque spot where you can take in panoramic views of the area. Towards the end of the hike, at a distance of 7.44 to 7.89 kilometers from the start, you will encounter several peaks including Pico Puerto de la Pez, Pico de la Pez SW, and Pico de la Pez. These peaks offer a challenging climb but reward you with breathtaking views from the top.
It is important to note that while some of these points of interest are located directly on the trail, others may require a slight detour to reach. As this is an out-and-back route, you will retrace your steps on the way back to the starting point.
