Welcome to the hiking route to Íbon de Arriel Alto! This challenging out-and-back trail covers a distance of 13.985 kilometers with an elevation gain of 804 meters, making it extremely difficult but rewarding for experienced hikers.
Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by Asador La Sarra, a restaurant where you can fuel up before hitting the trail. As you make your way, you'll come across a climbing area and a picnic site, perfect for taking a break and enjoying the surroundings.
About 4 kilometers into the hike, you'll reach the first information point, providing insights into the area's history and wildlife. Further along the trail at the 5.38-kilometer mark, there is a natural water source where you can refill your water bottle.
Midway through the hike, at around 5.81 kilometers, you'll encounter Íbon de Arriel Bajo, a beautiful lake nestled in the landscape. Continuing on, you will reach Íbon de Arriel Alto at approximately 6.99 kilometers, offering stunning views as a reward for your efforts.
