Welcome to the hiking route in Nendaz, a beautiful area known for its stunning landscapes and challenging trails. This route is an out-and-back type, covering a distance of 13.5 kilometers with an elevation gain of 766 meters, making it extremely difficult.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Refuge de Saint-Laurent, an alpine hut located 3.23 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. This is a great spot to take a break and enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.
Continuing on, you will encounter the Lac du Grand Désert around the 4.24 kilometer mark. This serene lake is a perfect place to rest and recharge before tackling the rest of the hike.
Further along the trail, at the 6.05 kilometer mark, you will find an information point providing valuable insights about the area. Take some time to learn about the flora, fauna, and history of Nendaz.
As you push forward, you will reach the Lac de Cleuson, a picturesque lake located 0.72 kilometers from the trail. This is a great spot to admire the reflection of the mountains in the crystal-clear waters.
As you make your way back, consider stopping by the Lac du Grand Désert again for a different perspective of the landscape. Remember to bring plenty of water, snacks, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging hike. Enjoy the adventure!
