Welcome to the hiking route at Epineas! This moderate 5.108 km circular trail offers stunning views and interesting points of interest along the way.
As you begin your journey, you'll come across the "Parking Area at Ag. Dionysios" located right at the trailhead. This is a convenient spot to leave your vehicle before embarking on the hike.
About a quarter into the hike, you'll encounter ancient ruins dating back to historical times. These ruins offer a glimpse into the past and add a sense of mystery to the trail.
As you continue, make sure to take a break at the "Drinking Water" station located midway through the hike. It's essential to stay hydrated, especially on warmer days.
One of the highlights of the trail is the "Καταρράκτες Ενιππέα" viewpoint and the "Καταρράκτης Ενιππέα" waterfall, both located around the 1.17 km mark. These natural wonders offer breathtaking photo opportunities and a chance to connect with nature.
Further along, you'll find more ruins and another drinking water station at the 0.52 km mark, ensuring you have everything you need for a comfortable hike.
As you reach the end of the trail, be sure to visit the "Information" spot, where you can learn more about the area and its history before concluding your adventure.
With a total elevation gain of 177.0 meters, this hike provides a good workout while still being manageable for hikers of various skill levels. Remember to bring plenty of water, wear sturdy shoes, and check the weather forecast before setting out.
