This extremely difficult hiking route takes you through the beautiful Saukasertal area, offering stunning views and a challenging trek.
Starting from the trailhead, you will come across a parking area right at the beginning of the trail. As you continue, you'll find a refreshing water source at around 1 kilometer into the hike. Make sure to fill up your water bottles here as the next water point is approximately 9.59 kilometers away.
At 1.47 kilometers in, you will reach Wagstätt-Alm, a restaurant where you can take a break and refuel before continuing your journey. As you push on, you'll encounter more water sources at 5.83 and 7.62 kilometers in, providing you with opportunities to rest and hydrate along the way.
With a total distance of 19.181 kilometers and an elevation gain of 833 meters, this out-and-back trail will test your stamina and endurance. Be sure to pack plenty of water, snacks, and appropriate gear for this long and strenuous hike.
