Starting at an elevation of 489 meters, you will follow an out-and-back trail with a total distance of 9.8 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1104 meters. As you start your journey, you will pass by Saalachsee, a picturesque lake located right at the beginning of the trail. Just 4 kilometers into the hike, you will come across Schlegelalm, a cozy restaurant where you can take a break and refuel before continuing on.

Along the trail, you will also encounter several points of interest. These include a viewpoint offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape, information points where you can learn more about the area, and a cave entrance known as Predigtstuhlschacht. Additionally, you will pass by Schlegelmulde, a spot ideal for free-flying enthusiasts, and Brandkopf, a peak suitable for climbing.

As you near the end of the hike, you will reach the highlight of the trail, Predigtstuhl, a peak with an elevation of 1608 meters offering panoramic views of the area. From here, you can take in the breathtaking scenery before making your way back to the starting point.
