Welcome to the Moosensteig hiking route! This challenging 10.938-kilometer circular trail offers an elevation gain of 1080 meters, promising stunning views and a rewarding experience for hikers.

Starting at the parking area, you will embark on your journey, surrounded by the natural beauty of the area. As you make your way through the trail, you will come across various points of interest. Approximately 0.05 kilometers from the start, you will find the picturesque Saalachsee, a perfect spot to take in the serene surroundings.

Around the midway point of the hike, at 2.3 kilometers from the start, you will encounter Brandkopf, a peak that offers a unique perspective of the landscape. Further along, at 4.89 kilometers, you will find the Predigtstuhlschacht cave entrance, adding a sense of adventure to your hike.

As you push towards the peak, at 4.96 kilometers, you will reach Predigtstuhl, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the area. Make sure to stop by the Berghotel Predigtstuhl at 5.04 kilometers for a well-deserved break and perhaps a meal to recharge.

At the end of the trail, around 5.13 kilometers from the start, you will reach a viewpoint that offers a final glimpse of the breathtaking scenery before concluding your hike.

With a duration of approximately 5 hours and 13 minutes, this difficult trail is best suited for experienced hikers.
