You are about to embark on an extremely difficult 16.452-kilometer out-and-back hike to Cima di Tuena. The trail will take you through a stunning alpine landscape with a total elevation gain of 1482 meters.
At the beginning of your journey, you will pass by Malga Tuena, an alpine hut located 3.59 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to rest and enjoy some local hospitality before continuing on your adventure. As you make your way further along the trail, you will come across Passo di Pra Castron, a saddle 6.98 kilometers from the start, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks.
Midway through the hike, you will reach Cima Benon, a prominent peak that stands 7.82 kilometers from the start. From here, you can take in panoramic views of the surrounding area before pushing on towards your final destination. Be sure to refill your water supply at the drinking water stations located 3.67 and 3.58 kilometers from the start to stay hydrated throughout the journey.
As you approach the end of the trail, you will encounter Cima di Tuena, another impressive peak located 8.23 kilometers from the start. Take some time to savor the accomplishment of reaching this high point before making your way back along the same path.
This challenging hike will take approximately 7 hours and 30 minutes to complete, so be sure to pack plenty of water, snacks, and appropriate gear for the journey.
