Located in the beautiful region of Monte La Torricella, this extremely difficult 13.9 km circular hiking route offers a challenging adventure for experienced hikers. With an elevation gain of 593 meters, the trail is estimated to take around 4 hours and 42 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will come across a convenient parking area right at the beginning of the trail. Make sure to take note of this for an easy start to your hike. Approximately 1.78 km into the hike, you will find the picturesque Fonte della Torricella spring, a perfect spot to take a break and enjoy the serene surroundings.
Further along the trail, at about 6.93 km from the start, you will reach the breathtaking peak of Monte La Torricella. Take the time to soak in the panoramic views from this vantage point before continuing on your adventure.
Around the midway point of the hike, at 5.62 km from the start, you will encounter the Passo del Morretano saddle, providing a unique spot to rest and refuel before tackling the rest of the trail.
Throughout the hike, you will also find several picnic sites and BBQ spots along the way, perfect for a leisurely lunch or snack break amidst nature.
