This hiking route takes you through the beautiful Sirente Velino Regional Natural Park, known for its stunning peaks and breathtaking views. The trail is 12.962 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 1297 meters, making it an extremely difficult hike that will challenge even experienced hikers.
At the beginning of the trail, you will come across the Parco Naturale Regionale Sirente Velino visitor center, where you can learn more about the park and its wildlife. As you continue on, you will pass by Fonte di Sevice, a natural spring located 4.03 kilometers from the start, perfect for refilling your water bottle.
As you make your way further along the trail, you will reach Rifugio Capanna di Sevice, an alpine hut offering a cozy place to rest and enjoy a meal. This hut is situated 4.81 kilometers from the start, making it a great spot to take a break before continuing on.
Midway through the hike, you will encounter Monte di Sevice, a peak that is 5.58 kilometers from the start. While this peak is not directly on the trail, it offers a stunning panoramic view of the surrounding area and is worth the short detour.
As you near the end of the route, you will reach Costognillo, another peak located 6.48 kilometers from the start. From here, you can enjoy sweeping views of the park before heading back to the trailhead.
