This challenging out-and-back hiking trail will take you to the stunning Dossenseeli at 2355m. The route covers a distance of 10.138 kilometers with an elevation gain of 904 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding adventure.

Starting at the parking area, you will begin your journey through a picturesque landscape. Along the way, you will come across a water source approximately 5.07 kilometers from the start, perfect for refilling your water bottle. Further ahead, at 2.31 kilometers from the start, there is another water point, albeit located slightly off the trail.

As you continue on the trail, you will encounter a shelter, a bench, and a BBQ spot all clustered together at 0.27 kilometers from the start, ideal for taking a break and enjoying a snack. Additionally, you will find an information point showcasing Engstligenalp at 1940m, situated 2.64 kilometers from the start.

A noteworthy highlight of the hike is Engstligenfälle, a beautiful waterfall located 1.46 kilometers from the start, although it may require a slight detour from the trail. Remember to check the weather forecast before embarking on this journey, as conditions can change rapidly in the mountains.

At the turnaround point, Dossenseeli at 2355m, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views and a sense of accomplishment. On your way back, you can stop by the various benches along the trail to rest and take in the scenery.

For additional amenities, there is a restaurant named Restaurant Bergbach at the beginning of the trail, where you can fuel up before or after your hike. Another restaurant, Steinbock, is located near the trail at the midway point.
