This hiking route takes you through the scenic area surrounding Houhu (后湖) in Beijing. The trail is a circular route with a total distance of approximately 2.02 kilometers and an elevation gain of 34 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.

As you begin your journey, you'll pass by a parking area where you can leave your vehicle before starting the hike. About 0.92 kilometers into the trail, you'll come across Houhu (后湖), a beautiful water feature that adds to the serenity of the surroundings.

Further along the trail, at around 0.52 kilometers, you'll find Shuimu Zi Qin Ma Tou (水木自親碼頭), a viewpoint offering stunning vistas of the area. At 0.35 kilometers, you'll reach another viewpoint called Riyue Chenghui (日月成辉), where you can soak in more breathtaking views.

As you continue your hike, you'll encounter attractions like Yiheyuan (颐和园) and Deheyuan (德和园) at 0.19 and 0.38 kilometers respectively, adding a cultural touch to your outdoor experience. Make sure to check out attractions like Wenchang Ge (文昌阁) and Renshoudian (仁寿殿) at around 0.3 kilometers for some historical insights.

Along the way, there are facilities such as Huiting (荟亭) at 0.63 kilometers and Hanxinting (含新亭) at 0.61 kilometers available for resting and taking in the surroundings. Bring enough water and snacks, as there are no eateries directly on the trail, although fast-food options like KFC are located nearby.
