This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Monte Catello (Caldara). The trail is 5.219 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 358 meters, making it of moderate difficulty. It is an out-and-back route, leading you to the breathtaking peak of Monte Catello.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Sorgente Acqua Santa spring, just 0.72 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. This is a great spot to refill your water bottle before continuing your hike. Along the way, you will also pass by the Roccia Elefante saddle, located 0.79 kilometers from the start. Take a moment to admire the unique rock formation before pushing forward.
Midway through the hike, at 1.4 kilometers from the start, you will find the peaks of Monte San Michele and another peak at 1.81 kilometers, Monte di Mezzo (Canino), offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area. As you approach the 2.61-kilometer mark, you will reach the peak of Monte Catello (Caldara), the highlight of the hike. Take your time to soak in the beautiful scenery before making your way back.
