This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Monte di Mezzo in Canino. The trail is 4.816 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 325 meters, making it of moderate difficulty. It will take you approximately 1 hour and 55 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will pass by the refreshing Sorgente Acqua Santa spring located just 0.72 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. This is a great spot to fill up your water bottle and hydrate before continuing on. Along the way, you will also come across the stunning Roccia Elefante saddle at 0.79 kilometers from the start.
As you trek further, you will reach the peak of Monte Catello at 2.18 kilometers from the start, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding area. Just a bit further along the trail, at 2.41 kilometers, you will find the peak of Monte di Mezzo, your ultimate destination. Be sure to take some time to soak in the stunning vistas from this vantage point.
Throughout the hike, you will also encounter convenient parking areas at the beginning and at 0.0 kilometers. Additionally, there are several other points of interest such as the Grotta di San Catello cave entrance at 0.32 kilometers, the Acqua delle Scorchie spring at 0.04 kilometers, and the Pizzo Castellone viewpoint at 0.69 kilometers.
