This hiking route takes you to the beautiful Sagzahn area, offering stunning views and a challenging adventure. The trail has a total distance of approximately 15 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1409 meters, making it an extremely difficult hike that will take around 7 hours to complete.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Sagzahn peak, a natural wonder that stands tall at 7.47 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. Further along the path, at 3.44 kilometers in, you will find the Alpbühelalm alpine hut, a perfect spot to take a break and enjoy the surroundings.
Midway through the hike, at approximately 6.36 kilometers, you will reach the Schermsteinalm alpine hut where you can rest and refuel before continuing on the challenging path. Be sure to bring plenty of water and snacks as facilities along the way are limited.
As you approach the end of the trail, you will pass by the Klettersteig Sagzahn via ferrata, offering a thrilling climbing experience just 7.46 kilometers from the start. Take your time to enjoy the breathtaking views and conquer this final challenge before heading back the way you came.
