This challenging hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Rifugio Fonte Tari Lama dei Peligni. The trail spans a total distance of 9.141 kilometers with an elevation gain of 923 meters, making it a difficult yet rewarding trek.

As you begin your journey, you will come across a convenient parking area located just 24 meters from the trailhead. About midway through the hike, at approximately 4.57 kilometers from the start, you will reach the alpine hut Rifugio Fonte Tari Lama dei Peligni, where you can take a break and enjoy the picturesque surroundings. Nearby, you will also find Fonte Tarì, a drinking water source for hikers to refill their bottles.

Further along the trail, at 2.95 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the entrance to the Grotte del Cavallone, a captivating cave system to explore. Be sure to stop by the viewpoint at 4.04 kilometers from the start to take in stunning panoramic views of the area.

Towards the end of the hike, at 4.2 kilometers from the start, you will reach a peak where you can admire the landscape from a higher vantage point. This out-and-back route offers hikers a challenging yet enriching experience in nature.
