This difficult hiking route starts at the parking area near Albergo - Gasthaus Saltnuss and takes you through the beautiful natural landscape of the area. With a total distance of approximately 9.95 kilometers and an elevation gain of 740 meters, this hike is best suited for experienced hikers looking for a challenging adventure.
Along the way, you will come across several points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you will find a bench where you can rest and enjoy the surroundings before continuing your journey. Roughly 1.1 kilometers into the hike, you will reach Albergo - Gasthaus Saltnuss, a restaurant where you can stop for a meal and refuel for the rest of the journey.
As you hike further, you will encounter the Mining path Schneeberg, an informative site about the mining history of the area, located approximately 3.69 kilometers from the start. Additionally, you will pass by Schutzhütte Schneeberg - Rifugio Monteneve, an alpine hut offering shelter and facilities for hikers, situated around 4.98 kilometers into the hike.
At the end of the trail, you will reach Karlstollen - Galleria Karl, a historic site that marks the turnaround point of this out-and-back route.
