This hiking route is set in a beautiful area with stunning natural landscapes. The trail is a circular route that spans 8.48 kilometers in distance with an elevation gain of 1151 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take approximately 4 hours and 50 minutes to complete.

As you begin your journey, you will come across the Rifugio Albergo Alpino "Pian del Re" alpine hut, a cozy accommodation option for hikers. Further along the trail, at a distance of 2.62 kilometers from the start, you will find the Rifugio Vitale Giacoletti alpine hut, where you can take a break and enjoy the surroundings.

Midway through the hike, around the 3.86-kilometer mark, you will reach the picturesque Lac Porcieroles, a beautiful natural water feature where you can relax and take in the scenery. As you continue on, you may encounter the Pointe d'Udine / Punta Udine peak and the Col du Couloir du Porc / Colle del Coulour del Porco saddle, offering panoramic views of the area.

Throughout the trail, there are various points of interest such as ruins, climbing spots, information points, and a spring called Sorgente del Po. Be sure to stay hydrated by refilling your water bottle at the drinking water stations along the way.
