This hiking route takes you to the beautiful area of Reiŋa Karo on Isla de Pascua. The trail is an easy out-and-back route with a distance of 4.443 kilometers and no elevation gain, making it suitable for hikers of all levels.
As you start your hike, you'll come across the Oroŋo parking area, located 1.88 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. Further along the trail at 0.91 kilometers, you'll find another parking area. About 0.93 kilometers into the hike, you'll encounter the Petroglyph Rano Kau, an archaeological site rich in history.
Continuing on, at 0.82 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the 360° Rano Kau viewpoint, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Close by, at the trailhead, you'll find the Mirador Rano Kau viewpoint.
As you approach the midway point of the hike, at 2.22 kilometers, you'll discover the ruins of ʻŌroŋo, providing a glimpse into the island's past. While at this point, you can also enjoy the viewpoints located nearby, with benches to rest and take in the scenery.
