This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area around Muganix. The trail starts at Elurretxe parking area, which is right at the beginning of the route. As you hike, you'll come across several points of interest along the way.
About halfway through the hike, you'll reach Muganix peak, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Be sure to take a moment to appreciate the scenery from this vantage point. Further along the trail, you'll pass by a spring, known as Arburuko Gaina elurzuloa, where you can rest and replenish your water supply.
As you make your way back, you'll encounter Elurretxeko elurzuloa ruins and a cave entrance, adding to the adventure of the hike. Additionally, there are several informative points along the trail, such as PR-GI 1011 Oiartzundik Aiako Harrira, providing insights into the local area.
This out-and-back route spans approximately 2.572 kilometers with an elevation gain of 242 meters, making it a relatively easy hike suitable for beginners and families. Remember to bring plenty of water, snacks, and check the weather forecast before setting out on your hike to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
