This challenging 7.026-kilometer circular hiking route will take you through the beautiful area surrounding Meakako Gaina. The trail starts at the parking area at the beginning of the route, where you can find drinking water and information about the area. As you hike, you'll come across the Alaseta information point about 2.91 kilometers from the start. Further along the trail, at about 3.02 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter the Dolmen Amargungo Zeharra archaeological site and the Cromlech tumular Amargungo Zeharra.
One of the highlights of the hike is reaching the peak of Meakako Gaina at 3.28 kilometers from the start, offering stunning views of the surroundings. Along the way, you'll also pass by the Lindurren Borda Sagardoegia and Irubide Jantokia restaurants where you can stop for a meal or refreshments.
The total elevation gain of 261 meters adds to the difficulty of the hike, so make sure to bring plenty of water and check the weather forecast before setting out.
