This challenging out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning An Gearanach peak in a beautiful natural area. The trail spans a distance of 9.362 kilometers with an elevation gain of 805.0 meters, so be prepared for a strenuous adventure that will last approximately 4 hours and 10 minutes.
As you begin your journey, you'll pass by a convenient parking area just 2.44 meters from the trailhead. About 1.45 kilometers into the hike, you'll come across a refreshing water source to replenish your supplies. Continuing on, at the 2-kilometer mark, you'll be greeted by the breathtaking sight of Steall Falls, a picturesque waterfall well worth the visit.
Around the 4.68-kilometer point, you'll reach the highlight of the hike, An Gearanach peak, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. As you make your way back, be sure to stop by the Glen Nevis Cable Bridge viewpoint at 1.7 kilometers from the start to admire the scenery. Additionally, at the 1.49-kilometer mark, you'll encounter another viewpoint to capture more stunning vistas.
