The Ben Nevis hiking route is an extremely difficult out-and-back trail that spans approximately 14.4 kilometers and gains 1295 meters in elevation. The trail begins at a parking area situated 0.13 kilometers from the start. As hikers make their way along the path, they will encounter a lovely water feature just 0.21 kilometers from the beginning.
Approximately halfway through the hike, at 7.19 kilometers from the start, hikers will reach the iconic peak of Ben Nevis. This natural peak offers breathtaking panoramic views, making it a perfect spot to take a break and soak in the scenery.
Along the trail, hikers will also come across useful facilities such as a shelter situated 7.17 kilometers from the start, and benches for resting at 0.97 and 0.9 kilometers from the beginning. Additionally, there are informational points of interest 0.28 kilometers into the hike.
