This hiking route takes you through the stunning area surrounding the Blackwater Dam Cemetery on the Ciaran path. The route is an out-and-back type, covering a distance of 21.763 kilometers with an elevation gain of 447.0 meters, making it extremely difficult.
As you start your trek, you will come across a parking area just 0.09 kilometers from the beginning of the trail, providing a convenient spot to leave your vehicle. Further along, at 5.83 kilometers into the hike, you will find a tranquil water feature, perfect for a peaceful break.
Continuing on, at 10.88 kilometers, you will encounter another water source, offering a refreshing stop along the path. Approximately 2.44 kilometers from the start, you will find a campsite, ideal for an overnight stay if you wish to extend your hike.
Throughout the trail, you will also pass by various viewpoints offering breathtaking scenery and photo opportunities.
