This extremely difficult 13.576-kilometer out-and-back hiking route leads you to the stunning Rifugio Panormo in the beautiful area. The trail begins with a visit to the historic Castello Giusso about 0.1 kilometers from the start. As you continue, you will come across the Fontana monumentale and Monumento ai Caduti at the beginning of your journey, followed by the Grotta Zi Carluccio about 3.62 kilometers in.

Along the way, you will also encounter the Sorgente Gruoffolo spring around 2.48 kilometers from the start and the scenic La Loggia viewpoint at 4.21 kilometers. As you trek further, you will reach the information point at 4.46 kilometers and the picnic site at 4.27 kilometers. The route then takes you to the Grava del Casone Vecchio cave entrance at 6.08 kilometers and the water source at 6.73 kilometers before finally reaching the Rifugio Panormo at 6.79 kilometers.

With an elevation gain of 1033 meters, this hike is not for the faint of heart. Make sure to come prepared with plenty of water, snacks, and proper hiking gear.
