This extremely difficult 14.457 kilometers out-and-back hiking route will take you to Howman Falls, starting at Granite Flat Parking. The trail offers a challenging elevation gain of 765 meters, so be prepared for a tough climb.
Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you will pass by Cleve Cole Hut, a wilderness hut where you can take a break and rest. Further along the trail, at about 3.06 kilometers from the start, you will reach Rocking Stone Saddle, a natural saddle offering beautiful views of the surrounding landscape.
As you continue on, approximately 2.36 kilometers from the start, you will come to Hell Gap, a saddle and viewpoint where you can take in the stunning scenery. About 7.23 kilometers into the hike, you will reach Howman Falls, a picturesque waterfall worth the effort.
