This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route to Mount Arthur spans a distance of 34.657 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1641 meters, making it a challenging but rewarding journey for experienced hikers.
The trail starts at a parking area located at the beginning of the route. As you make your way along the path, you will come across various points of interest. Approximately 10.53 kilometers from the start, you will find Spion Kopje, a peak that offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Further along at 9.18 kilometers from the start, you will encounter Little Spion Kopje, another peak worth exploring.
One of the highlights of the hike is Mount Arthur, located approximately 17.33 kilometers from the starting point. This peak offers breathtaking views and serves as a great spot to take a break and enjoy the surroundings. Additionally, Crowsnest viewpoint can be found around 12.27 kilometers from the start, providing a perfect vantage point to admire the scenery.
