This hiking route will take you through the beautiful area surrounding Monte Viglio. The total distance of the hike is 11.224 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1068 meters, taking approximately 5 hours and 16 minutes to complete. The route is classified as difficult due to its length and elevation gain, so be prepared for a challenging but rewarding hike.

Starting at the trailhead, you will first come across a parking area where you can leave your vehicle before beginning your journey. As you make your way along the trail, you will pass by the historic wayside cross and peak known as Monte Viglio, located 5.07 kilometers from the start. Here, you can take in panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

Continuing on, at the same location as the wayside cross, you will also find the historic wayside shrine called Madonnina. Further along the trail, about 1.51 kilometers from the start, you will come across the picnic site named Colle Albaneti. This is a great spot to take a break and enjoy a meal while soaking in the natural beauty of the area.

Approximately 0.21 kilometers from the start, you will find the Fontanile drinking water point, where you can refill your water bottles and stay hydrated throughout the hike. As you approach the 4.91-kilometer mark, keep an eye out for the historic boundary stone known as Cippo.

Nearby, at a distance of 0.96 kilometers from the start, you will encounter Fontanile Casale, a natural spring where you can rest and refresh yourself before continuing on the trail.
