Welcome to the Añelarra hiking route, a challenging and extremely difficult 12.378-kilometer out-and-back trail that offers stunning views and diverse points of interest along the way. The route is located in a picturesque area with natural beauty.

At the beginning of the trail, you will encounter the historic boundary stone known as Borne 271, a significant marker with a distance of 5.89 kilometers from the start. Further along the trail, approximately 1.13 kilometers from the start, you will reach the beautiful Lago del Contienda, a serene water feature perfect for a rest stop.
Throughout the hike, you will also pass by informative spots such as La Contienda Azul and La Contienda Negra - Azul - Verde, providing insights into the area's history and natural features. Additionally, you will spot peaks like Añelarra and Añelarra Occidental, offering panoramic views of the surroundings.
As you make your way back, consider a visit to the cave entrance known as C50, located approximately 1.22 kilometers from the start of the trail. This unique feature adds an adventurous touch to your hiking experience.
