This hiking route leads to the stunning Punta de la Cruz in a challenging area with a distance of 28.91 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1149 meters, making it extremely difficult. The total duration of the hike is estimated to be around 9 hours and 33 minutes.

As you embark on this journey, you will come across various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find the Alpine Hut known as Refugio de Belagua, where hikers can take a break and enjoy some accommodation facilities. Further along the trail, you will pass by the parking area before reaching the peak of Punta de la Cruz, which is located 14.46 kilometers from the start.

Midway through the hike, you will encounter the saddle known as Portiello de Larra, offering a breathtaking view of the surrounding natural beauty. Additionally, there are informational sites such as El Común and GR 12 Sendero de Euskal Herria providing insights into the local culture and history.

At the end of the trail, you can relax at the restaurant and shelter facilities near the trail and take in the panoramic views from the Mirador de Zemeto viewpoint. Make sure to stay hydrated, bring plenty of water, and check the weather forecast before starting this challenging hike.
