This extremely difficult 31.835-kilometer out-and-back hiking route in the Ukerdi area offers a challenging adventure for experienced hikers. With an elevation gain of 1266 meters, this route will take approximately 10 hours and 32 minutes to complete. Before embarking on this journey, make sure to check the weather forecast and bring an adequate water supply.
As you start your hike, you will come across the Mugarrien 256. zenbakia boundary stone at 4.31 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. Further along the path, at 2.98 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the Mugarrien 258. zenbakia boundary stone.
Midway through the route, at 15.92 kilometers from the starting point, you will find the Ukerdi peak, offering a spectacular viewpoint for hikers. Additionally, at 6.74 kilometers from the start, you can visit the Belagua Alpine Hut for a rest stop.
Towards the end of the hike, at 6.91 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Refugio de Belagua/Belaguako aterpea, where you can take a break before making your way back.
Throughout the trail, you will also pass by various points of interest, including the Roncalia and La Contienda information points, the Cromlech Eskilzarra archaeological site, and the Mirador de Zemeto viewpoint.
