Welcome to the hiking route to Auñamendi / Pic d'Anie! This extremely difficult 12.759-kilometer trail with an elevation gain of 910 meters will take you approximately 5 hours and 13 minutes to complete.
The trail starts at Place des Bourrugues parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on this challenging adventure. As you begin your journey, you will pass by the Office de Tourisme de la Pierre Saint-Martin, where you can gather information about the area before starting your hike.
Midway through the trail, you will come across Gouffre des Bourrugues, a cave entrance that adds a touch of mystery to your hike. As you continue, you will reach the peak of Murlong, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area.
Le Snow Bar, a wheelchair-accessible restaurant, is located near the trail for hikers to take a break and refuel before continuing their trek. The route also includes an alpine hut for hikers seeking overnight accommodations in the wilderness.
The trail leads you to Auñamendi / Pic d'Anie, a peak that marks the endpoint of your out-and-back journey. Enjoy the breathtaking views from the summit before making your way back along the same trail.
