This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Auñamendi / Pic d'Anie. The trail is 12.759 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 910 meters, making it an extremely difficult hike that will take you approximately 5 hours and 13 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will come across some points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you will find the Office de Tourisme de la Pierre Saint-Martin, where you can gather information about the area. Further along the trail, you will pass by Borne 267, a historic boundary stone, and Le Snow Bar, a restaurant where you can take a break and refuel.
Midway through the hike, you will encounter the alpine hut at Place des Bourrugues, providing a cozy spot to rest and take in the surroundings. As you continue on, you will pass by water point at a distance of 2.65 kilometers from the start, ensuring you stay hydrated throughout your journey.
Towards the end of the trail, you will reach the peak of Le Pourtet and the cave entrance of Gouffre des Bourrugues, adding a sense of adventure to your hiking experience. Finally, you will arrive at the peak of Auñamendi / Pic d'Anie, offering stunning panoramic views as a rewarding end to your hike.
