The Emmons Moraine Trail is a moderate hiking route that spans approximately 5.5 kilometers with an elevation gain of 211 meters. The trail offers beautiful views and is located in the Mount Rainier National Park area.
As you begin your journey on the trail, you will come across the White River Campground, a fee-based camping site located right at the start of the trail. This is a great spot to rest and prepare for your hike ahead. Further down the trail, you will find the Mount Rainier National Park Information center, providing valuable insights about the park and its surroundings.
Along the way, there are a couple of natural water sources near the trail, approximately 2 kilometers into the hike. These are perfect spots to refill your water bottle and stay hydrated during your trek. Additionally, there are viewpoints scattered throughout the trail, offering stunning vistas of the surrounding landscape.
The Glacier Basin Trail Information point is located around the midway point of the hike, providing hikers with more information about the area and its history. As you continue on, you will encounter another drinking water station to quench your thirst.
Towards the end of the trail, about 2.1 kilometers in, you will find a scenic viewpoint that offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surroundings. This is a perfect spot to take a break, snap some photos, and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the area.
