This extremely difficult 13.292 kilometers long hiking route takes you through the stunning Canals de la Madera area. The trail starts at an alpine hut called Hospice du Rioumajou, where you can find parking facilities. As you begin your journey, you will pass by Aire de Bivouac de l'Hospice du Rioumajou and Fontaine ferrugineuse spring at the beginning of the trail.
As you continue on the trail, approximately midway, you will encounter Puerto de la Forqueta saddle and Puerto de la Madera saddle. These points offer breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks. Further ahead, at around 5.4 kilometers into the hike, you will come across Pena Millaris peak and at 5.58 kilometers, there is another peak called Pena Millaris. These spots are perfect for a quick break and to admire the scenic beauty of the area.
Throughout the trail, there are several water points, with the closest ones located at 6.65 kilometers into the hike. It's essential to stay hydrated, especially on a challenging route like this one. Additionally, there are shelters and a restaurant near the Hospice du Rioumajou, where you can rest and refuel before continuing your journey.
