The trail starts at a convenient parking area and as you begin your journey, you will come across a beautiful fountain at just 0.05 kilometers from the starting point. Further along the trail, at 0.1 kilometers, there is a historic wayside shrine and a drinking water station for hikers to refill their bottles.
As you continue along the path, you will encounter two water features at 0.04 kilometers each from the start, adding a touch of tranquility to your hike. At 1.01 kilometers, you will find a modern statue, adding an artistic element to the natural surroundings. Make sure to keep an eye out for the ruins of Schluesselstein at 2.15 kilometers and enjoy a panoramic viewpoint at 0.17 kilometers with a view of the Girsberg and Haut Ribeaupierre ruins.
For a well-deserved break, there is a picnic site located at 0.1 kilometers from the beginning of the trail where you can relax and recharge before heading back. A final viewpoint awaits you at 2.34 kilometers, offering stunning vistas of the surrounding area.
