This hiking route in the Pessons area offers a challenging but rewarding experience for outdoor enthusiasts. The 11.764 kilometers long trail features an elevation gain of 797 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take approximately 4 hours and 42 minutes to complete.
Starting at the parking area, you will begin your journey through the picturesque landscape of the Pessons area. After a short distance, you will come across Estany de Coma Estremera, a beautiful water feature that is perfect for a quick rest stop.
As you continue along the trail, you will pass by El Piolet restaurant where you can refuel and enjoy a meal. Make sure to stay hydrated as you come across several water sources along the way, such as the ones located at 0.91 kilometers and 0.92 kilometers from the start.
Midway through the hike, you will reach Ríbuls peak at 5.31 kilometers from the start, offering stunning views of the surrounding area. Nearby, you can also visit Montmalús peak at 3.64 kilometers from the start and Collada de Montmalús saddle at 3.36 kilometers from the start.
Further along the trail, you will encounter Pas de Ríbuls saddle at 4.76 kilometers from the start, followed by Pessons peak at 5.82 kilometers from the start. Take in the beauty of Ribuls Occ., Pic L'Alig, Ribuls, and Ribuls Or. peaks before heading back towards the trailhead.
