This extremely difficult 11.598-kilometer out-and-back hiking route, known as Sentiero CAI Lunghezza, offers a challenging adventure with a total elevation gain of 1330 meters. The trail starts at an accessible parking area at the beginning of the route. As you embark on your journey, you will pass by the historic Ghiacciaia building only 0.02 kilometers from the start.
Midway through the hike, at approximately 0.94 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the beautiful Lago Giasprét, providing a serene spot to rest and take in the surrounding natural beauty. Along the way, you will also come across the refreshing waterfall at 1.15 kilometers and another waterfall at 0.94 kilometers from the starting point.
At around 5.46 kilometers from the start, you will reach Colle del Lupo, a notable saddle along the trail. As you continue, at 5.8 kilometers, you will approach a peak offering stunning panoramic views of the area. Cafes like Il Chiosco are available at the beginning of the trail, providing an opportunity to refuel and rest before your return journey.
