This extremely difficult 11.034-kilometer out-and-back hike to Streichkopf will challenge even experienced hikers with its 1275.0 meters of elevation gain. The trail starts at a parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before beginning the journey. As you make your way along the route, you will come across various points of interest.
Near the start of the trail, just 0.04 kilometers in, you will find Seecamping Wimmer, a campsite where you can rest and take in the beautiful surroundings. A bit further along, at 0.04 kilometers from the start, you will also pass by Maximilian, a restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat.
Around the midway point of the hike, at 1.57 kilometers from the start, you will encounter a picnic site where you can stop for a break and enjoy a snack. Nearby, at 1.69 kilometers from the start, you will find the Dalfazer Wasserfall, a stunning waterfall that is sure to impress.
As you continue along the trail, you will reach the Dalfazer Wasserfall Klettersteig, a via ferrata located 1.69 kilometers from the start, for those looking for an extra challenge. Further along, at 4.53 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Steinernes Tor, a natural saddle point offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
