Located in a scenic area, the Öxarárfoss hiking route offers a super easy trek for nature enthusiasts. The trail spans approximately 0.989 kilometers with little to no elevation gain, making it suitable for all skill levels.
As you embark on this out-and-back journey, you will come across several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find the P2 Kastalar parking area, situated just 0.05 kilometers from the start. Further along, you will encounter the Oxararfoss P2 Fossplan parking area, conveniently located right on the trail.
Midway through the hike, at a distance of 0.22 kilometers from the start, you will pass by another parking area, P2. Continuing on, you will reach Öxarárfoss waterfall, a beautiful natural attraction located 0.49 kilometers from the trailhead. Nearby, the Öxarárfoss viewpoint provides a perfect spot to pause and admire the stunning scenery.
